Snow Covered Tuesday!!!

Well, the Winter Storm got here…it rolled in about 11:30 p.m. with lightening, thunder, sleet to heavy sleet, till it turned into snow during the wee hours.  The sleet sounds more like hail at times as it pounded on my roof and bounced off of surfaces, hitting my windows…I was hoping it would miss us, but that was merely wishful thinking on my part!

I was awakened by the sound of my little patio greenhouse buckling under the heavy snow…nothing like both me and the cat hearing the crack of the plastic supports giving way to the weight of the white stuff!!!

I jumped up, pulled on my ski socks, warm-ups, coat, hat, gloves, got the closest broom and wading through the knee deep snow (on my patio that’s about 12 to 14 inches, deeper in the drifts…I got most of the snow brushed off and the greenhouse popped back up, but I’m going to have to go back out there every 30-minutes or hour to keep it cleaned off so it won’t collaspe again.

Needless to say, I can’t get my car out of my garage, the snow is too deep…as far as I’m concerned, if I can’t get out of my own driveway, there’s no way I’m going to attempt to go to the office in downtown Tulsa.  It’s called a Snow Day!!!  Office policies allow us “1” day for inclement weather…this will be my day…now tomorrow, who the Hell knows!!!

As much as I aim for perfect attendance in my job…it isn’t worth risking my car and life to try and make it in.  My young associate attorney called me last night and told me, if the weather is bad, stay home.  He can work from home…unfortunately, I can’t.  So, here I’ll be, all safe, sound and warm!!!

Blizzardy Tuesday here in Tulsa!!!!
