It’s back to the grind today. I was up with the alarm this morning…now, whether or not I get motivated to get in the shower and get ready for work, well, still working on that attitude!
Everyday is a busy day at the office. Today, I’ll probably meet with the HR for a review, I haven’t had one in about two weeks, so it’s time. I have a feeling of hopelessness that came over me Thursday and has remained…I feel a panic to find another job coming on, but then, paranoia sets in and I begin to cycle through all the emotions again and again…Psychologically, I have no idea how this all will go…I do know I need to prepare and brace myself for the worst…
I did not nearly accomplish what I had hoped this weekend. I did get lots of yard work done yesterday. I trimmed all my hedges, including the ancient azalea bushes way back. I decided to let the hedges get a good start this spring/summer and didn’t give them their first trim until the end of May…I usually have the hedge clippers out and keeping them neatly trimmed by the end of March, but for some reason, I wanted to see how much new growth there would be. I lost a couple of hedge bushes in the front from the last couple of freezes, so those will need to come out…
The yard got mowed and edged so it looks good…no signs of weeds, so the weed and feed must be working…I got all but a couple of new flowers planted…the remaining petunias were starting to look straggly…I have a few more plants to get situated and hope to get that accomplished in the next couple of days.
I forgot to put sunscreen on my back and now have a lobster red sunburn to attest my outside work from yesterday…I wore one of my one piece bathing suits with a pair of shorts thrown on to do my yard work in yesterday…I should have known better and put sunblock on my back…when will I ever learn? Wearing a bra today will be agonizing…hopefully it won’t blister up and peal…such is life.
I finished up getting the patio battened down for the rapidly approaching storms this morning…there’s a front trying to push down from the northwest…it’s supposed to hit Tulsa around 6:45 to 7:00 a.m. Hopefully, I will blow through and be done raining by the time I head to the office around 8:00 a.m.
Here’s hoping that your Monday is a good one!!
