Time For The Big Dance…

et’s just say my bracketology this year has gone straight to Hell!! Oh well, I’m still loving watching the games…even if it is from the quiet room of my dad as we wait for the inevitable.

No, he didn’t pass on St. Patrick’s Day as we originally thought once we turned off the machines. In fact, his vitals were fairly strong for someone on the verge of being brain dead. I’m okay with this, letting the course of things happen…it may take some time but knowing he’s not in pain and is comfortable…that is enough. I hope I’m there when he takes his last breaths…but I know he’s getting good care and will pass quietly when it is time.

I have also come to terms with the fact that I can’t control the course of things…at least, up to a certain point I can and then it is out of my hands. I am learning to take it one day at a time…though it is difficult to really plan anything…yes, the state of limbo still exists to some extent for me.

But, there is the Big Dance and there have been some interesting games so far…my brackets are all whacked, but that’s okay, I didn’t have time to really study the different conferences…just quickly made my choices this morning before the 10:00 a.m. deadline.

Are you ready for the Big Dance????

  1. This is the only time of the year I get excited about sports. I was disappointed OU didn’t make it this year. I like Jeff Capel and think he and OU will do well together. My alma mater (one of them anyway) got a No. 1 seed this year. I say this only to share my enthusiasm for the tournament this year.

As for the rest? All I can say is life really sucks sometimes. I’m still trying to deal with all from my mom’s passing at Christmas and it looks like the shit is about to hit the fan. Things are all in a mess and not made any easier by a sibling who wants to be IN CONTROL of everything. Let the fun begun!!! I wish the best for you in dealing with your situation.
